Day 1: Errachidia – Merzouga (Sahara Desert)

Your adventure begins as you leave the city of Errachidia, traveling south through the breathtaking Ziz Valley. Along the way, you’ll witness palm groves and ancient kasbahs dotting the landscape. Stop at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the lush valley before continuing toward the Sahara Desert. Arrive in Merzouga, a village on the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes, by early afternoon. Here, you’ll swap your vehicle for a camel trek into the desert. As you ride across the golden dunes, enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the Sahara. Reach your desert camp by sunset, where you’ll be welcomed with traditional mint tea. Spend the evening under a blanket of stars, enjoy a Berber dinner, and listen to traditional music around the campfire. Overnight in a comfortable desert tent.

Day 2: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

Wake up early to witness the spectacular sunrise over the dunes before riding your camel back to Merzouga. After breakfast and a quick shower, begin your journey west toward the dramatic Todra Gorge. Stop at the gorge, where sheer cliffs tower up to 300 meters high. Take a leisurely walk along the riverbed, marveling at the impressive rock formations. Afterward, continue your drive through the Dades Valley, often called the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs.” In the evening, check into a charming riad or hotel overlooking the valley. Enjoy dinner and rest for the night.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou

After breakfast, continue your journey through the Dades Valley, passing through the Rose Valley and the Skoura Oasis, famous for its lush palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Arrive in Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara” and home to the famous Atlas Film Studios. After a brief tour, continue to the nearby UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou, a stunning fortified village that has been featured in many films and TV shows. Explore the kasbah’s narrow alleys and climb to the top for panoramic views of the surrounding desert landscape. Spend the night in a traditional guesthouse in Ait Benhaddou.

Day 4: Ait Benhaddou – Tizi n’Tichka Pass – Marrakech

On the final day, depart Ait Benhaddou and head toward Marrakech via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, the highest road pass in Morocco. As you wind through the High Atlas Mountains, enjoy breathtaking views of rugged peaks, traditional Berber villages, and terraced fields. Stop for photos and a traditional Moroccan lunch along the way. By afternoon, you’ll descend into the vibrant city of Marrakech. Your journey concludes with a drop-off at your hotel or riad in the medina.
