Day 1: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert
Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Ouarzazate, the gateway to the Moroccan desert. After meeting your guide, you’ll set off on a scenic drive through the Skoura Oasis, known for its lush palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Continuing your journey, you’ll travel through the breathtaking landscapes of the Valley of Roses and the Dades Valley, often referred to as the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs.” As you ascend through the winding roads, enjoy panoramic views of dramatic rock formations and traditional Berber villages clinging to the hillsides. Next, you’ll visit the impressive Todra Gorge, a natural canyon with towering cliffs that rise up to 300 meters. Take a leisurely walk along the crystal-clear river that flows through the gorge, a popular spot for rock climbers and photographers alike. In the afternoon, you’ll continue toward the Sahara Desert, passing through small desert towns and oases. As you approach Merzouga you will see the dunes welcoming, then you start your camel ride to watch the sunset. Then you will have dinner and overnight at your desert camp under the stars.
Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Ouarzazate
Rise early to witness the mesmerizing sunrise over the dunes then you will have breakfast so to get ready for the to depart Your first stop will be Rissani, a historic town known as the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty and home to one of the largest traditional souks in the region. Explore the bustling market, where locals trade goods ranging from spices and dates to textiles and handicrafts. We continue your drive back to Ouarzazate. For the end of the tour.
